Your Website Doesn't Talk To Google
No one wants to hear it but it's true.
You spent all this time teach yourself how to build a website.
Got adjusted to a new website editor.
Now that it's all done — where's your traffic?
It's a question that plagues anyone that runs a business website.
In order to answer it, I need to cover some basics.
First up: your website needs to be crawled.
How do we do that? 3 ways.
1. Include a sitemap on your website
2. Submit your sitemap to Google Search Console
3. Include Meta Robots Tags on all pages you want Followed & Indexed
That clears up the majority of issues of not receiving any traffic.
Now — if you receive emails from google talking about pages being "discovered - but not indexed" or "crawled - but not indexed" — you will need a further fix.
For that, I use URL Monitor.
You add this to Search Console, and it will automatically index your pages for you.
Here's a link (I'm an affiliate): [URL Monitor: Automatic Google Index Monitoring](https://urlmonitor.com/?via=vic)
That's all I got for you today.
Thanks for reading,
— Vic.
